INTRODUCTION
Business Continuity Management (BCM) and Disaster Recovery are topics that are now being looked at more and more often by company managements. This might be the result of an internal enquiry or external requests from government, regulators, auditors or customers. Usually, implementation is carried out by the IT department; with the result that many companies wrongly believe that Business Continuity Management and Disaster Recovery are purely technology-based issues.
This practical workshop uses the brand-new BS 25999 standard for Business Continuity Management to go through all of the chronologically relevant stages of a total BCM project, from the initial business case right through to auditing. Our aim is to incorporate a whole range of examples and case studies into this seminar. We are looking for practical answers to the most relevant questions relating to this material. Seminar participants are given a far-ranging D&R - BCM hand-out complete with templates and checklists.
